Trevelyan's Pack and Cool Ltd is a privately owned business operating from a large, modern, centralised site in Te Puke. We provide packing and cool storage for kiwifruit, avocados and feijoas. With four export packhouses and 32 coolstores on our 20ha site, our priority is optimising outcomes for our growers through quality systems, continuousimprovement and innovation.
We have a family-like team which grows from 140 permanent staff to 1500 for our kiwifruit harvest season. We are industry leaders in sustainable business development and LEAN manufacturing and have made significant investment in modern cool storage and technology.
The kiwifruit industry and Trevelyan's in particular, is experiencing rapid growth and expansion which has created an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on a challenge, has phenomenal communication skills and a good knowledge and understanding of on-orchard and post harvest operations to join our kiwifruit grower liaison team.
The grower liaison role provides advice and support to growers with the aim of improving fruit quality and orchard viability. This will be achieved by taking best practice orchard techniques to growers and supporting the application of them in the field. The appointee will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with a strong focus on supporting our growers. This is a key role within our business requiring an experienced, energetic, people person who will fit with the culture of our company.
We are looking for someone who has: • Extensive knowledge and understanding of on-orchard kiwifruit production • Excellent relationship management and communication skills • Self motivation and is a team player • Strong planning and organisational skills • A desire to succeed
