There was, however, a tinge of luck in the Greytown success as they originally took the field with only three players but by the time the first over had been completed - 20 minutes after the scheduled start time - they had a full muster and avoided the threat of forfeiture.
A1 Homes Kuranui Old Boys benefited from a superb all-round performance by Sam Curtis in their 113-run win over Newbolds Marist Old Boys.
Kuranui Old Boys scored 180-5 in their 20 overs with Tony Russo making 73 and Curtis 50 not out.
Marist Old Boys were then all out for 67 with only Robin James (28) handling a Kuranui Old Boys attack led by Curtis who finished with 5-9 off his four overs.
