Greytown bowlers win

The Greytown combination of Dave Murray, Brian Johnson and John Manning won the South End Bowling Club's Lion triples tournament over the weekend for the second successive year.
Runners-up in an event which attracted 26 teams were the Martinborough team of Dennis Smith, Peter McGillicuddy and Blue Hunt and third were the Masterton team of John Claydon, Jim McDonald and Laurie Field.
The mixed team section played on Sunday saw Masterton's John Claydon, Win Dellabarca and Laurie Field take the honours from another Masterton team comprising Nig Hollings, Shirley Hewson and Edgar Hewson.
