Over a hundred golfers teed off in a charity golf tournament at the picturesque Lansdowne Golf Course to raise money for Pukaha Mt Bruce on Friday. Local golf pro Jamie McIsaac said they were hoping to raise over $5000 from the tournament. Masterton Golf Club donated the course for the
day, and various businesses gifted prizes. One of the favourite activities of the day was the HoldenOne, where punters could take a shot at the bright red motoring icon parked on the fairway to win their choice of golf bag.
The long list of sponsors included Southey Nissan, Trev's Sports, The Warehouse, Superior Meats, Reeve's Office Products Depot, Masterton Tool Shed, Wairarapa Times-Age, HITZ FM, King and Henry, Sports Arena, Scotty's, All Teed Up, Classic Hits, Mitre 10, Hunting and Fishing, Alex McLeod, and Bullick Blackmore, Liquor Plus, Anderson Meats and DB Draught.
