"We'll finish up with some tricks so people will be able to go home and say that they can join the circus," Ms Cooper said.
The exercise was good for upper body strength, core strength, posture and mental health, she said.
Hula hooping always helped to improve her mood, she said.
"I go out and think I'll just do five minutes and one hour later I'm still going."
It was also a fun group activity.
"There's nothing like hooping with a group of people."
Participants are welcome to bring their children and a koha would be appreciated.
Hoops will be available to borrow on the night or you can bring your own.
