Gisborne’s popular tide chart lives on, thanks to the efforts of Wainui resident Graham Breckell and support from Trust Tairāwhiti.
The chart was previously distributed through the Gisborne Herald.
Breckell has been putting the chart together for more than 20 years.
“The Herald used to insert it but unfortunately that’snot happening this year, so I’ve taken upon myself to produce it.
“I’ve had support for the project from Trust Tairāwhiti, who have met all the production costs, and I’m very grateful for that support.”
A thousand copies have been printed at this stage.

“They will be available free of charge from the Gisborne i-Site and a range of other outlets like the fishing club, Harbourview Marine, Discount Fishing Supplies, the Waikanae Top 10 Holiday Park, Okitu Store and Dive Tatapouri.”
Surf shops and surf lifesaving clubs will also eventually have copies.
