Girl dies on quad bike

A 4-year-old girl died after falling off a quad bike on a farm in Taranaki on Tuesday. She was Molly Elizabeth Vanner.

Detective Paul Davidson said the incident on the farm south of Patea was "incredibly traumatic and tragic".

"Out of respect for the family of Molly, police will not be releasing any further details in relation to this crash until further preliminary inquiries are completed," Mr Davidson said.
