A section of the country's main highway has been shut down due to a gas leak in Hamilton.
Motorists were advised that a section of SH1 in Hamilton has been closed due to a gas leak, police said.
Diversions were in place, and as at 10am were expected to remain
for a number of hours.
The leak occurred on Greenwood Street near Kahikatea Drive.
