A furniture factory in Christchurch was destroyed by fire last night.
Southern Fire Communications shift manager Rachel Butler said many 111 calls came in around 11:30pm last night about the fire.
The furniture factory on Masons Rd, Bromley was well alight when the fire crews arrived at the scene.
"The
building collapsed so fire fighters were not able to make entry," she said.
Eight crews battled the blaze from outside the building and from above with a helicopter.
