“Their swift actions, care and teamwork helped ensure the individual was rescued and brought to safety,” the spokesperson said.
“We’re incredibly proud of our crew for stepping in and responding so calmly.”
The spokesperson said emergency services were contacted.
“Out of respect for the individual’s privacy, no further information will be shared at this time.”
The passenger on the boat said the person was transferred into an ambulance.
Hato Hone St John said it was notified of a water-related incident in Auckland Central at 9.35pm and responded with one ambulance.
“Our crew assessed and treated one patient who was transported to Auckland City Hospital in a moderate condition.”
