Four people escaped with minor injures after a single-story home in the Waikato caught fire.
Emergency services were called to the property in Ngaruawahia at 5.20am.
Fire Service spokesman Steve Smith said the fire had been "well involved" in the building when crews arrived.
"It was a single story dwelling
and no one was trapped in the house."
Four people were treated by ambulance staff but none were transported to hospital.
