Four in custody after AOS callout

Police have taken four people into custody in connection with an aggravated robbery in Point Chevalier early today.

The alleged offenders were found at an address in Clover Park, south Auckland, with the assistance of the Armed Offenders Squad.

"An informant saw people park a white vehicle before donning hoodies and driving off in another vehicle, which was then parked not far from where the occupants of it carried out an aggravated robbery in the Joker's Bar on the corner of Carrington Rd," said a police spokeswoman.

"The informant took note of the registration numbers of both vehicles and reported them to Police at about the same time the robbery was taking place."

The spokeswoman said "at least four people - three of them females" have been taken into custody and "the AOS is in the process of clearing the second of two addresses of interest in Caserta Place, Clover Park."
