Four people have been arrested following a burglary in the Auckland suburb of Alfriston, where a fleeing car rolled down a nearby embankment.
A police spokesperson said officers responded to the incident around 7.55pm where they found three vehicles in a driveway and four people takingthings from a house on Polo Prince Dr.
“Police blocked the driveway to prevent the vehicles leaving at which time two people surrendered to Police and two others attempted to flee from the property in a vehicle.”
“In the process of fleeing, they rolled their vehicle.
“One occupant was taken into custody at the car, and another fled on foot but was apprehended shortly after. One occupant from the rolled vehicle complained of a sore shoulder and received medical treatment by Ambulance.”
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and charges will be laid.
An NZME photographer on the scene said as police arrived, the offenders attempted to flee and ended up rolling down a bank at the address.
