A former New Zealand police officer has pleaded guilty to drugs charges in the Cook Islands.
Mark Franklin, a former detective inspector in the New Zealand police force, was arrested in Rarotonga in 2011.
Franklin pleaded guilty in the Cook Islands High Court today to two counts of selling aclass C controlled drug, and one count of offering to sell a class C controlled drug
He will be sentenced next week.
Franklin was one of 13 people to face charges as a result of the police operation.
