Former All Blacks honour Jerry Collins with rugby match

European rugby champions Toulon will play a team of former All Blacks and overseas-based New Zealand players to honour the late Jerry Collins.

The match will be played tomorrow 7am NZ time in Toulon in France.

Justin Marshall is among the former All Blacks who take on the European Cup champions and French Top 14 winners whom Collins used to play for after his All Blacks career ended.

Collins and his wife Alana were killed in a car crash in France in June. Their infant daughter Ayla survived the crash but requires ongoing medical treatment. She is with Alana's family in Canada.

All proceeds from the game will go to the Jerry Collins Memorial Fund.

The game has been organised by Toulon owner and president Mourad Boudjellal who told French media that the region wanted to honour Collins.

"I am sure the All Blacks haka on this day will remember Jerry Collins with great emotion and so will we. Fans from around the world will witness two heavyweight rugby institutions competing against one another in the heart of Toulon."

The team will be tagged the "Classic All Blacks" and play in a special black strip.

Along with Marshall, other former All Blacks involved include Ali Williams, Chris Masoe and Carl Hayman, who have also played for Toulon, and some of Collins' other All Black team-mates from his era including Brad Thorn, Carlos Spencer, Adam Thomson, John Afoa, Corey Flynn, Luke McAlister, Richard Kahui, Mils Muliana and Joe Rokocoko.
