The forestry worker killed in northern Hawke's Bay yesterday has been named.
Blair David Palmer, 53, from Napier, was an experienced forestry foreman who had worked in the industry for a long time, police said.
He died when a tree fell on him at the Pohokura forest block inland from
Tutira, north of Napier.
Worksafe New Zealand is investigating.
