Heavy fog in Auckland has caused cancellations and delays for 119 flights.
Fog restrictions came in at 4.22am today, only lifting at 2pm.
In that time 51 domestic flights were delayed, 64 domestic flights cancelled and one flight diverted to Wellington airport.
Three international flights were diverted to Wellington, from Nadi, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Auckland Airport spokesperson Falko Frei said the problem now was any knock-on effects.
"I'm unaware of any flights still affected by the fog, but a roll-on effect for international flights could affect outgoing flights."
Frei acknowledged that it was unusual for fog to affect international flights.
He said the airport did not know how long it would take to clear the backlog, but that airlines would hold that information.
Air NZ did not respond to requests for an estimate of how long it would take to get services back to normal.
The company released a statement that its operations teams were working hard to get customers to their destinations.
JetStar's media team was unable to be reached.
