Flood warning for Christchurch residents

The Christchurch City Council is issuing a flood warning for residents around the lower Avon and Heathcote rivers.

A high tide may be experienced which will cause street flooding in some areas, but there is no expectation of danger to people or property.

The tide is expected to cause flooding in Hulverstone Dr, Clarendon Tce and parts of New Brighton Rd and Avonside Dr.

Today's tide is not expected to impact temporary stop banks on the Avon River.
