Heavy fog which affected about 60 flights in and out of Auckland Airport has now lifted.
MetService said a light southerly breeze pushed it over the airport but a burst of sunshine helped burn it off by 10.30am.
Fog affected Auckland airport for about an hour and a half this morning - an area of fog lay over the Manukau Harbour in the early hours, and the lightest of southerly breezes managed to push it across the airport. The increasing sunshine then "burnt it off" by 10.30am. ^HM
