Fletcher Building has appointed a former Ernst and Young chief executive, John Judge, to its board.
Judge, also the chair of Te Papa, will be an independent, non-executive director.
Judge replaced Dr Roderick Deane as chair of Te Papa in 2006.
During his tenure he has
overseen the launch of the museum's Lord of the Rings trilogy exhibition, a joint venture with New Line Cinema.
Fletcher said the appointment was the start of changes in the board over the next few years.
Fletcher Building shares closed unchanged on the NZX yesterday at 7.37.
