Flappers, gangsters and silent screen look-alikes have been invited to the 1920s-themed All That Jazz fundraiser cabaret for Cancer Society Wairarapa.
The cabaret will be held at the Copthorne Hotel and Resort Solway Park in Masterton on July 5.
A silent auction also will run at the cabaret and The Ratbags band will provide music "at the roaring twenties speakeasy" that will be re-created for the occasion.
Jeanine Gribbin, Cancer Society Wairarapa centre manager, said: "Come as a flapper, gangster or silent screen star or come as you are. Just bring your friends and we'll take care of the rest." All proceeds from the cabaret "will go towards helping people affected with cancers in our community".
"With your help there is hope."
Tickets to the cabaret cost $95 a person or $900 for a table of 10 party-goers, Ms Gribbin said, and each ticket includes the chance to bid on auction prizes, drinks, dinner, dancing "and a darn good time".
She said party-goers also have the opportunity to a room for two including breakfast the next morning at the Copthorne Solway Hotel for $138.
Tickets are available for the All That Jazz cabaret through the Cancer Society Wairarapa on 06 378 8039 or online at www.dashtickets.co.nz.
