Two women and three men have appeared in the Queenstown District Court this morning over charges relating to the kidnapping and assault of Cromwell man Jason Wynyard.
All five were remanded on bail to reappear for post-committal conference on February 28.
Four of the defendants are from Queenstown and onefrom Invercargill.
A further two people were still to appear yesterday while Rachel Maree Faul (20) was arrested on the day after the incident and sent to Christchurch Women's Prison.
The charges relate to an incident on November 26 when the 28-year-old was alleged to have been assaulted by balaclava-wearing assailants near the Crown Range Rd intersection with State Highway 6 before he was bundled in to a car and driven to Arrowtown where he was dumped on the road side.
