Five hurt in accident

Three people were seriously hurt about 8.25 last night when a car skidded off the Southern Motorway near Drury and slid over an embankment onto railway tracks that pass under the motorway.

Two other people in the car suffered moderate injuries. Fire, police and ambulance crews attended the scene of the accident, and the police serious crash unit is investigating the cause.
