Police and Maritime NZ met the boat when it arrived at Bluff about 3pm and have begun their investigation in to the death. A post-mortem would be carried out tomorrow and they were liaising with the Indonesian embassy to contact the man's next of kin.Police said they would be interviewing members of the ship's crew who witnessed the incident.AdvertisementAdvertise with NZME.AdvertisementAdvertise with NZME.The boat was fishing in the Southern Ocean within New Zealand's waters near the Auckland Islands when the death occurred.
