Ms Stephens thought the explosion could have come from two fireworks being set off at the same time on either side of the property.
She dropped the curtain as the glass fell, but Caleb had already wandered over to her.
The cut on his hand was minor, but the cut on his foot was quite deep, she said.
"It could have been so much worse, it could have killed him."

Ms Stephens called police, but they were busy and were not able to get to the house until this morning.
They were not able to do anything about the incident because it was considered an accident.
The broken window would not be fixed until tomorrow (Monday) when the landlord could sort it out.
Ms Stephens urged other revellers to stay away from houses and "go to the beach" if they wanted to set off fireworks.
