Firefighters tackle Auckland garage blaze

Fire fighters are at the scene of a blaze in a residential garage in South Auckland this morning.

Crews were called to Mahia Rd, Manurewa about 5.59am after multiple calls from the public.

The fire was "well involved" when crews arrived, Fire Service spokesman Colin Underdown said.

Three trucks are at the scene.

No one was in the garage at the time of the blaze and no one is injured.

Although there is no indication the fire was suspicious, fire safety will be investigating.
