Firefighters attend house fire in Otara

Fire safety officers are investigating the cause of a house fire in South Auckland.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire on Firth Cres at 3.19pm. A spokeswoman said 22 firefighters attended the blaze.

She said there was no one in the house at the time, and no injuries were reported.

The fire, which was well involved when fire crews got to the scene, was not thought to be suspicious.
