Save The Fire Service was called to the Huntly Power Station this morning after a fan overheated.
Huntly chief fire officer Craig Bush said the situation was under control when firefighters arrived shortly after 7am.
There were no flames.
Mr Bush said it seemed unlikely power supply would have been affected
by the incident, but he could not confirm this.
Genesis Power, which operates the power station, could not immediately be reached for comment.
