A fire that led to the evacuation of a hotel at Auckland Airport is now out.
The fire was found in the basement laundry chute at the Ibis Budget Hotel. It had smoked out the sixth floor where fire crews thought the fire may be.
A fire spokesman said theywere called at 8.03pm and 15 fire crews responded due to "the nature of the building". The spokesman clarified this is because the building is full of people.
He was not sure if everyone had been accounted for.
