A fire in the sand dunes at New Brighton is no longer being treated as suspicious.
Three fire crews last night spent about an hour putting out the blaze on Marine Parade, near Caspian St.
Police say there were initial reports from a witness of a flare being used in
the area.
However, it seems this was most likely just a reflection of the fire in the sky.
