Fire doused at Morrinsville home

A "well-involved" fire was doused at a Morrinsville home this afternoon.

Northern Fire Communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said the fire was "fully involved" at the unit and neighbouring units were under threat when emergency services arrived about 5pm.

He did not know if anyone was in the Studholme St unit when the fire began, but no one was hurt.

The fire had not spread to other units, Phillips said.

A fire inspector was on the way to the scene.
