Fire destroys Invercargill factory

A factory in Invercargill has been completely destroyed by fire.

The fire took hold at the Southtile building on North Road in Lorneville, Invercargill, about 3.45pm, fire service southern communications shift manager Jan Wills told NZPA.

At least 14 crews were involved in bringing it under control.

The Fire Service says the building was totally engulfed in flames when they arrived.

No one was injured, and investigators are now looking into the cause of the fire.
