Fire crews are working to rescue three cows stuck in a drain in Whitford, east Auckland.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said crews had been at the scene since around 8am, after receiving a call about 7.50 this morning.
"We're currently working to release the three cows stuck
in a drain," he said.
The cattle were stuck on Whitford Park Rd at Solway Drive.
The spokesman said specialist equipment for large animal rescues had been sent to the scene and was expected to arrive shortly.
