The second annual More FM Summer Tides concert is set to go ahead at Riversdale Beach tomorrow, with fine weather predicted after a week of gales.
Organiser Rosie Broughton said while many ticket buyers waited to see how the weather was looking before buying, the forecast was looking good fortomorrow.
"Really good. Not too windy, 18 to 20 degrees, and no rain so I'm really happy about that," she said.
"Pack some sunblock and a picnic and come out and enjoy yourselves."
Along with headline act The Noodles, the line-up includes Wellington-based singer songwriter Louis Baker, acoustic funk and soul band Mr Groove, Palmerston North's Dirt Box Charlie, and Wairarapa's own Sneaky Roots and Barry Saunders.
Family friendly activities include twister, volleyball and a huge sand pit.
It's the second year the concert has been held at Riversdale beach, with last year's event attracting more than 1300 people.
Ms Broughton said tickets for this year's concert were selling well and would be available on line until 1.30pm tomorrow as well as the Riversdale store until it closes.
Gates open at 2.30pm, with live music until 10pm. Picnics are welcome but no BYO alcohol or glass. Visitors are reminded there is no petrol available at Riversdale and limited cellphone coverage.
