Female pedestrian seriously injured in central Dunedin

A woman has been seriously injured after being struck by a ute in central Dunedin.

The 78-year-old woman suffered head injuries when she was struck by the ute on George Street about 1pm today, police said.

She was taken to Dunedin Hospital in a serious condition.
