A woman has been killed after being hit by a truck in South Waikato early this morning.
A police spokesman said the accident happened on State Highway 1 at Kinleith, south of Tokoroa, just after 1am.
The woman died at the scene.
State Highway 1 was closed for several hours
but has since reopened.
The Police Serious Crash Unit is investigating the accident.
