Police are concerned for the well-being of a Waikanae man who failed to return from a bush walk yesterday.
Police believe 75-year-old Trevor Mann intended to walk in the Hemi Matenga Memorial Park, exiting onto Huia Street, Waikanae. However, he did not returned as expected.
Mr Mann is described asa Caucasian, around 180cm tall, of medium build with grey hair and a moustache. Police said he was likely to be wearing shorts, a t-shirt and jacket, tramping boots and a cap.
Police asked all residents in the Waikanae area - particularly between Belvedere Avenue and the Memorial Park - to check their properties in case Mr Mann had fallen.
