Father, son rescued from water in Tairua after boat flips

A father and son have been pulled from the water after the boat they were on flipped on the Tairua bar.

Emergency services were sent to the area just before 1pm.

Waikato police Senior Sergeant Robbie Hermann said there were two occupants, a father and son, on the boat.

They were now on dry land but local police were yet to speak to them about what happened.
