A digger has rolled and killed a worker near Te Awamutu.
Emergency services were called to the workplace on Te Kawa Road south of Te Awamutu at about 4.30pm today, Inspector Willie Taylor said.
A digger rolled over and crushed the driver, he said.
Police remained at the scene, butan investigation into the death would be handled by Occupational Health and Safety because it was a workplace incident, Mr Taylor said.
Details of the person killed would not be released until next of kin had been notified.
