A 60-year-old Pongaroa farmer remains in a serious condition in Wellington Hospital after he was injured in a truck crash on a steep hill.
Lance Burns, Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter pilot, said the man had been flown to Wellington Hospital with serious injuries to his stomach and lower body afterthe crash on a Pongaroa farm about 5pm, Sunday.
He said St John Ambulance staff stabilised the man at the scene before he was airlifted to Wellington Hospital.
A hospital spokesman yesterday said the man was in a serious condition.
