Save A farmer received serious injuries after being run over by his tractor this afternoon.
The Life Flight Trust crew in the Westpac Rescue Helicopter responded at 3.30pm today to a farm at Pauatahuni, near Porirua.
The farmer, aged in his 60s, had been run over by the tractor while cutting
or bailing hay, a Life Flight crew member said.
Others working with the man raised the alarm.
The helicopter landed in a paddock next to the accident location and flew the farmer to Wellington Hospital's emergency department.
