Farmer killed by car named by police

Police investigate the scene where the 75-year-old Pukehina farmer was struck.

Police have named the 75-year-old man who was struck and killed by a vehicle yesterday.

Ian Robert McKenzie was moving stock on Old Coach Rd, Pukehina, when the crash happened.

Police want to speak with a woman who drove through the crash scene shortly after the incident.

Police said she stopped and spoke with people at the scene.

The woman has been urged to contact Senior Sergeant Ian Campion at Tauranga Police Station on 5774302.
