Police in Hawera are investigating death threats against a woman working to stop family violence.
Rape Crisis Centre manager Pam Bassett has received the threats, after raising concerns about violence in the community.
Families Commission chief Paul Curry says it's horrible to think she's been threatened because of the very
thing she's advocating against.
He says it shows just how much work is still to be done to combat attitudes towards violence.
