The body of a young woman found dead in a sleepout at her family's Auckland home is expected to be removed from the scene today.
Police held a press conference this afternoon following the discovery of the 23-year-old woman by a family member earlier today.
Police confirmed they were treating the death as suspicious but would not go into specifics.
The woman was found in the sleepout attached to the family house in Papakura about 7.30am.
Detective Inspector Mark Gutry said the family, who were "distraught", were being spoken to but were not believed to be involved in the death.
