False fire alarm causes Britomart evacuation

Save Britomart station in central Auckland was evacuated this morning after a false fire alarm.
Travellers were ushered out of the train station as fire engines raced to the scene about 11.45am.
Auckland Transport said everyone was back inside and services resumed after 15 minutes.
A spokeswoman said because rush hour
was over, there was minimal disruption.
One woman tweeted: "Just got evacuated from britomart as our train pulled in. Scary!"
