Face burned in fire at Christchurch YMCA

One person has suffered burns to their face after a fire broke out at the YMCA in Christchurch just before midday.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 11.45.

A fire communications spokesman says the fire was contained to the kitchen, and has been put out.

It's not yet known what caused the fire.
