Wellington based designer Alexandra Owen has quietly won over several of the industry's heavy hitters with her intelligent and mature designs, and her show this year didn't fail to deliver once again.
Interesting tulle skirts were weighed down with inserts of fabric inside, jackets and skirts featuredappliqué scallops of leather and pants were akin to sculptures with architectural-like detail.
Owen is a singular talent, and a welcome breath of fresh air to the New Zealand fashion scene. Expect big things.
