An experienced climber who fell about 8m off a Taupo cliff had to be hoisted from steep terrain by rescuers.
The 35-year-old Wellington man was climbing with a group of friends at Whanganui Bay, on Lake Taupo's western shore, when he fell yesterday afternoon.
