The camera suddenly moves to a side of the office she acknowledges not many people have seen - given most of the photographs and videos taken of the country's leaders are of them sitting at their desk.
"You're currently positioned behind the desk where I'll be working from and where many other Prime Ministers have worked before me.
"This is where I will be living and breathing for a lot of my time when I'm here in Wellington, other than times that I'm in the debating chamber."
Ardern shows off some personal touches she has added to the office - including a number of hand-made cushions made for her by one of her aunts.
There is also a cushion paying tribute to another world leader - US President Donald Trump.
Ardern finishes the tour by taking a seat behind her desk and thanking New Zealanders.
"I just wanted everyone to have a chance to have a look and say thank you.
"It's a real privilege to be here.''
