English tourist visiting for granddaughter's wedding choppered to hospital

An elderly man visiting from the UK for his granddaughter's wedding, was choppered from Waiheke after suffering a medical complaint.

A Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Onetangi for the 70-year-old man on Saturday evening.

He was treated and flown, with his wife, to Auckland Hospital in a moderate condition.
